2021.09.27 11:51 Kinnychi Needing help with Animotica

Hi, I've been having an issue with animotica since I got it, initially I thought it was a watermark. After paying for the full version I'm still having an issue where all the videos I put in look very washed out and pixelated. The videosi load into it look fine when I play them outside of the program, so it's not down to the recording which I thought might be the problem at first. Sometimes the videos load in normally. I save and close the program and when I come back it's all washed out again even the ones that were normal. Is there a fix for this?

2021.09.27 11:51 aliasad1998 The Brilliance of Michael Haneke's 'Cache'

I want to talk about a specific scene in Cache that encapsulates what makes not only this film, but the rest of Haneke's work so brilliant. The scene where the main Parisian couple of Georges and Anne argue in their living room full of books, before realizing that their young son is missing. All the while, news related to war and conflict around the world plays on their television in the background.
If we observe the way this scene is shot and structured, we notice that Haneke almost wants the viewer to ignore what is happening on the television. The focus here is purely on the affluent couple. Furthermore, he places this broadcast in the background of what appears to be a dramatic turning point in the film where the viewer is almost certainly not going to be focusing on small details. Sticking to one of the primary themes of the film, perhaps Haneke is suggesting that in our world it is only those who possess wealth and power that are deemed worthy of attention. The news being in the background is simply a representation of how violations against the oppressed never cease to exist in the background of our own lives. And yet, the news is still very much a part of this scene, just as said oppression is a reality. Such details are present throughout Cache, and make it one of the most rewatchable films ever made.
The setting of this scene alone, conveys many of the film's core ideas. One of them being the contrast and often uncomfortable intersection between the lives of those who have been subjugated and the lives of those who have benefited (whether directly or indirectly) from this subjugation. The lavish, upper class living room setup contrasted with images of war and destruction brings to light the unfortunate gap in living conditions between people across the world, purely based on their circumstances.
Finally, I would like to examine the sheer amount of books and films that are present inside the living room. Georges is a popular book reviewer and hosts a television show about books. Anne is a publisher. Not only are they well read, literature is a significant part of their lives. In an interview, the Indian scholar Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak said that we mustn't forget that our ability to perceive and understand certain types of art is something that we have been fortunate enough to learn. The intellectual or the artist can not open up a book in front of people deprived of basic needs, and save them just by reading it out or explaining it. Not only is the consumption of art on its own not suggestive of any kind of moral superiority, it is an indicator of privilege. It is purely because of the resources at their disposal that the couple are able to possess all this literature in the first place. Unlike the Algerian family in the film who are victims of the Paris massacre of 1961. And unlike the people on the news. Linking your virtue with how well read or cultured you are is a dark place to be in, and a place that I myself have had to forcefully drag myself out of multiple times.

2021.09.27 11:51 simyen Sulfur keeps making game crash

So I'm a bit into my run, Ive had sulfur for my active since getting it on the second floor and it has worked great, however now it just keeps making my game crash as soon as I use it. Noticed it first when facing mom, when I restarted the game it started me up back in the beginning of that floor. And no matter which room I use it in, it keeps crashing. What can be causing this and is there anything to do about it?

2021.09.27 11:51 RonaldYeothrowaway Need help understand Post-WW2 industralisation in Yugoslavia

Hi, I am interested in history and like to read up about the impact of technology and technology diffusion through history.
I noticed that after WW2, a lot of scholarly attention has been paid to the examples of Korea, Japan , China, Taiwan and the other Pacific Rim nations in their experience of industralisation but Yugoslavia is a bit of a Black hole.
As a non-aligned nation, how did Yugoslavia approach industralisation given its neutral relations with both Western nations and the Warsaw Pact? Did it affect technology transfer?
Are there any good websites or textbooks that I can refer to?

2021.09.27 11:51 omeritach13 Hot sauces should sight their scoville rank on the bottle

Alcoholic drinks have it, dairy products also mark their fat percentage and, sometimes you can even find the sodium percentage on some products.
But you’ll only find Scoville ranks on niche hot sauces, which should be a standard for more broadly marketed brands. So us, as consumers, would be able to know how hot each sauce is in comparison to previous hot sauces that we have tried.

2021.09.27 11:51 KP7KP Neo’s old baggage that is the Chinese Ethereum narrative…

Investors either don’t know about Neo and if they do they usually mention that it was meant to be the Chinese Ethereum.
This has to change. Now.
We either need a big marketing move to really show people that we are a global decentralised network with one or more of our nodes in China or we need to somehow reiterate that we have a new home i.e. Singapore, where an exodus of crypto entrepreneurs will inevitably end up from mainland China.
I’m just concerned that Da has been so involved with blockchain in China (with Onchain and consulting with the gov in China) that he almost has his hands and mouth tied. Would he now personally market Neo in China? Not so sure. But the Neo team should allow others to do so outside of China, introducing a new narrative and with haste.

2021.09.27 11:51 singularity9733 Does a golem in a burning building die?

So I believe that based on the regular rules, a golem, most of whom have no resistance to fire and who lose their hardness due to becoming creatures, would be killed by a bonfire or structure fire if they didn't have orders to move out. There magic immunity does nothing to protect them from nonmagical energy damage as far as I can tell.
Logically this makes no sense for creatures made of metal and stone, but is there anything RAW that protects them?
